Ian Smith of Wellbeing Practice Ian Smith – Lead Therapist

As a therapist Ian has a passion for understanding how the mind works, and how people’s thinking can impact their lives… with even the smallest change in thinking, people’s lives and wellbeing can dramatically improve.

Ian commenced his professional training over twenty years ago, and has enhanced his knowledge and skills to provide an adaptive approach and delivers a range of therapies tailored to an individual’s needs.

With a Diploma in Therapeutic Hypnotherapy, and Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Ian is a member of the B.A.C.P.  working their ethical framework. Also a member of the N.H.S. whose voluntary registers is the first and only current hypnotherapy register to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. Counselling training through the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).

Clients come to see Ian because they have a specific wish to change something in their lives, or about themselves, in order to be happier and more in control.  Others come because they want to move their career, sporting skills or personal develop to a higher level.

With a natural ability to listen and Ian is proud of his success in helping many people pursue new career paths and stronger relationships both professionally and personally.

He works closely with clients to help guide them towards small changes in how they think, using reframing techniques and releasing the emotions of past experiences that have held them back.
